How Do I Visit an Inmate in the Rancho Cordova Jail?

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office operates the Sacramento County Main Jail and the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center (RCCC). Visits at the Main Jail are scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis, depending on available times and space. The facility allows morning and afternoon visiting hours at 7:30, 8:30, 9:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30. Evening visiting hours are 4:30, 5:30, 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30. Each day, all visitors must be registered latest by 9:30 pm.

Inmates may receive two 45-minute social visits each week, from Sunday to Saturday. Each visit requires valid identification and is restricted to three persons, including children and infants. Non-sentenced trustees, sentenced inmate trustees, and sentenced inmates are allowed three 45-minute social visits each week. Visitors must note that weekend visits at the Main Jail are usually very crowded.

All visitors are subject to search. Anyone who refuses will be denied entry. Visitors should be at least 18 years old or visit accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proof of relationship. Emancipated minors may visit without a guardian if proof of emancipation is presented.

The RCCC and the Main Jail have similar visitation requirements. However, RCCC inmates may not receive more than two visitors per visit, including minors.

Are Rancho Cordova Court Records Public?

Most Rancho Cordova court records are considered public. Interested persons may visit any of the Sacramento County Superior Court locations to obtain copies or send official requests to the court.
